I am Mary Jeanne Hutchison and I am so happy to be running for City Council to represent Ward 2 in O’Fallon.

For nearly 20 years, I proudly and humbly served the families of O’Fallon as the Parks and Recreation Director.  As Director, I led the effort to construct 8 new parks and facilities including the O’Fallon Family Sports Park, a one of a kind sports complex for kids and adults who love soccer, baseball, softball, walking, running, and playing. 

Not only does it serve as an incubator for our next generation of champions, but also helps generate millions of dollars of revenue for our city driving the economic growth in and around the park.

During my tenure, I also built Rock Springs Nature Park for both families and their dogs to enjoy and appreciate our outdoors. And one of my last projects as Director was to build the O’Fallon Station and create the Vine Street Market in downtown O’Fallon which has become the most successful revitalization of our downtown ever.

I am a mother of two daughters, who I raised with my late husband in O’Fallon because we knew it was a special place. And I was lucky enough to help create this special place as Parks and Recreation Director.

For the past year and a half, I have become a small business owner launching Hutchison Solutions which has afforded me the opportunity to work with other cities throughout Southern Illinois creating economic development, master park plans, and accelerating growth in communities. 

I am prepared and excited to bring my experience to the O’Fallon City Council as the next Ward 2 Alderperson.  I look forward to working for the families who live, work, worship, and play in my ward.
